Postage is collected from the addressee. The department at a
prescribed fee, grants a permit of 1 year duration. |

Franking Machines

Use of franking
machine saves laboure & time of pasting stamps & is therefore
economical. You can print your special messages/slogans on the
articles. Franked articles are expeditiously transmitted. |

Identity Cards : |
|
At a nominal cost
of Rs. 6.00 the Postal Department issues identity cards to
individuals which facilitates receipt identification & is valid for
a period of 3 years. |

Post Bags/Boxes : |
|
The department
offers a system of delivery of postal articles through a postal bag
& fully prepaid registered & unregistered articles are delivered
through post box. Apart from convenience of delivery time the
consumer is assured of SAFETY FROM PILFERAGE. Postal bag system is
available at any delivery post office. The department offers this
service at a norminal cost of Rs. 150/- yearly each. In case both
the services are availed of by a consumer the same is available at a
concessional rate of Rs. 200/- yearly. |
